  • Riders take full responsibility for themselves for the duration of the event.

  • A helmet must be worn at all times if cycling.

  • Riders are expected to abide by the Highway Code.

  • Riders to be mindful and respectful of pedestrians and other riders.

  • By taking part I confirm that I will not be suffering from any disability or medical condition, whether physical or mental, which could affect my ability to participate safely in this event.

  • By taking part I will abide by the advice of the organisers (Hospice Event Team) together with Marshals and Medical Team.

The 101km Route

Severn Bridge

 

Starting and finishing in Caerleon, this route takes riders along a mix of cycle paths and smaller roads, beginning in Newport
before heading out into Monmouthshire. The course passes through Nash and Magor, continuing towards the English side of the
Severn Bridge, before returning along the same route back to Caerleon.
The ride includes three feed and water stations located at Magor, the Severn Bridge, and Nash to support participants.
The route is made up of a combination of minor and major roads, as well as designated cycle paths, providing a varied riding
experience.
Riders will be supported throughout the event by marshals and support vehicles, which will be available for the duration of the
ride.
Please note that this is not a closed road event, so all cyclists must adhere to the Highway Code and remain aware of other
road users at all times.

The 59km Route

Magor

 

Starting and finishing in Caerleon, this route takes riders on a varied journey using a mix of cycle paths and both minor and major roads
in and around Newport. The course passes through the Newport riverfront, continues out towards Nash, and reaches a turnaround point
in Magor before returning to Caerleon.
There are two feed and water stations located in Magor and Nash to support riders along the way.
Support vehicles will be available throughout the duration of the ride, providing assistance where needed to ensure a safe and enjoyable
experience.
Please note that this is not a closed road event, so all participants must remain vigilant, follow the Highway Code, and be mindful of
other road users.

The 18 km Route

Newport Riverfront

 Minimum age of 10 Years

(must also be accompanied by an adult)​​

 

The ride starts and finishes in Caerleon, taking participants along a scenic route that combines dedicated cycle paths with a small element
of quieter, smaller roads in Crindau. The course heads into Newport City Centre and follows sections around the Riverfront, offering a
varied and enjoyable riding experience.
For safety and assistance, cyclists will be supported throughout the event by experienced marshals and support vehicles positioned along
the route and available for the duration of the ride.
Please note that this is not a closed road event, so riders should remain aware of other road users and follow normal traffic regulations
at all times.

The 72.5km Route

​​Brecon Canal​

​

Participants will be picked up from Caerleon Rugby Club and transported by Bus to Brecon Theatre, with bicycles carried separately in
Lorries.
The ride begins in Brecon and follows the scenic canal path through Talybont-on-Usk, Llangynidr, Crickhowell, and Govilon, before
continuing on through Pontymoile, Cwmbran, and Newport, finishing back in Caerleon.
The route is made up of canal paths, cycle paths, and sections of minor roads, offering a varied and enjoyable riding experience.
There are two feed and water stations located at Llangynidr and Pontypool to support riders along the way.
Riders will be supported throughout the event by marshals and support vehicles, which will be available for the duration of the ride.

Please note that this is not a closed road event,  so participants must follow the Highway Code and remain aware of other path and
road users at all times.

The 39km Route

Nash​

​

Starting and finishing in Caerleon, this route takes riders on a varied journey using a mix of cycle paths and both minor and major roads
in and around Newport. The course passes through the Newport Riverfront, continues out towards Nash which is a natural turnaround
point and reaches before returning to Caerleon.
There is one feed/water station located in Nash to support riders along the way.
Support vehicles will be available throughout the duration of the ride, providing assistance where needed to ensure a safe and enjoyable
experience.
Please note that this is not a closed road event, so all participants must remain vigilant, follow the Highway Code, and be mindful of
other road users.
